Gerald F. LaBarge and Margaret Lynch LaBarge lived at 304 Edwards Dr. by 1953.  Mr. LaBarge was a native of Massena, NY, and was the president of LaBarge Brothers, Inc., a pipeline contracting firm which he and his brother, Orville J. LaBarge, founded in 1947.  The family was living in Manlius on 2-1-1970, when Mr. LaBarge died.  Their children:  Linda LaBarge, who wed Robert B. Talbert, David LaBarge, Patricia LaBarge, Thomas LaBarge, Robert LaBarge, and Jeffrey LaBarge.

John G. Labedz and Elizabeth Labedz lived on Lyndon Rd. by 1955, and later moved to Dutch Hill Rd. in Knollwood.  He was born 12-19-1907, and was production manager for the Western Electric Co.  Mr. and Mrs. Labedz later lived in Las Vegas, and were living there at his death in January, 1984.  Mrs. Labedz resides now in  Kauai, HI.  They had:  Gordon Labedz, who graduated from Colgate University in 1968, married Diana Mann, became a physician and an environmental activist, and lives in Kauai.

Roland L. Lamphier and Isabel Potter Lamphier lived at 25 Lyndon Rd. by 1960.  He was born 11-2-1905, and died in August, 1984.  From 1950 to 1955, they operated a hotel in Ithaca, and later they were antique dealers.  Mrs. Lamphier was born on 2-25-1906, and died on 7-15-1991.  Her parents also lived in Lyndon, (see the Potter entry below).

Stanford Landell, Sr., and Elizabeth U. Landell lived at 65 Ely Dr. by 1955.  He was an engineer with the Brown-Lipe-Chapin division of General Motors, and later was a senior executive.  The couple moved to Bloomfield Hills, MI, in February, 1962.  Mr. Landell retired from GM there in 1966, after 30 years of service.  Following retirement, the couple moved to Downingtown, PA, where Mr. Landell died in April, 1982, at the age of 75, and Mrs. Landell died on 12-30-1992, at 86.  They had a son, Stanford Landell, Jr., who was born in 1-7-1938, served in the USAF, wed Linda Joslin of Bossier City, LA, in 1967, and died in NJ, on 7-4-2004.

Francis K. Landers and Frances Lengan Landers lived on Maple Dr., but in 1953 the family moved to 167 Robineau Rd. in Syracuse.  Mr. Landers was born 4-20-1891, and the couple married about 1924.  He was the secretary-treasurer of the W. H. Landers Co., a stove manufacturer.  Mr. Landers died on 2-9-1968, while residing in Syracuse.  Mrs. Landers was born 12-5-1898, and was a life resident of the Syracuse area.  She died on 9-8-1974.  Their childtren:  William H. Landers, who was born about 1925, and Polly L. Landers, who was born about 1928, wed Robert Trea, and resided in Harrisburg, PA.

Edgar Lane and Ruth Ritter Lane lived at 305 Edwards Dr. by 1955.  He was a self-employed builder.  They had:  Richard Lane, Elizabeth Lane, and Susan Lane.

Elwyn W. "Ock" Lanning and Barbara Smith Lanning became the owner-operators of the Lyndon Trailer Park in the late 1950's.  Mr. Lanning also worked for the Carrier Corp., retiring in 1972, and Mrs. Lanning was a teacher in Liverpool.  Mrs. Lanning was born in Walloston, MA, but moved to Liverpool in 1916, and lived most of her life there.  Mr. Lanning died on 11-4-1985.  Mrs. Lanning then married Howard H. Hurst, Sr., and died on 2-9-2005.  Mr. and Mrs. Lanning had:  Stuart W. Lanning, who earned a master's in music from Syracuse University in 1965, and is a professional musician in Manvel, TX, and Jean Lanning, who wed Paul Lewis, and lives in South Salem, NY.

Aldie E. LaPointe and KAlyce "Alice" LaPointe lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by the late 1940's.  Mr. LaPointe was a native of the Province of Quebec, Canada.  He worked for the D. W. Winkelman Co. as a bulldozer operator and repair shop foreman.  Mr. LaPointe retired in 1978 after more than 30 years with the company.  After residing in the Park, the family moved to E. Syracuse, Southwood, and, in the early 1950's, to Warners, NY.  Mrs. LaPointe died on 1-19-1979, and Mr. LaPointe later moved to Appalachian, NY, where he died at his daughter's home on 8-21-1990. They had:  Denis E. LaPointe, who wed Patricia Thompson and lives in Baldwinsville, Eileen LaPointe Steller, who lives in Knoxville, TN, Noel LaPointe, who is a minister of the Church of God, and an accomplished artist, and John K. LaPointe, who wed Kimberly Brownell on 7-7-1988, and lives in Warners.

Archie LaPointe and Inez Peterson LaPointe lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by 1947.  He was a native of Norton Mills, VT.  Mr. LaPointe was the equipment superintendent for the D. W. Winkelman Co. for 35 years before his retirement in 1976.  After Lyndon, the  family lived in Fayetteville, Skaneateles, and Auburn.  The couple divorced and Mr. LaPointe subsequently wed Lynda Miller.  Mrs. Inez LaPointe died in Fayetteville on 11-21-1973.  Mr. LaPointe died at home in Auburn on 9-8-1981.  Archie and Inez LaPointe had:  Valerie LaPointe, who wed Thomas P. Kinsella, and resided in Fayetteville before her death, at age 32, on 9-16-1973, and Kristopher L. LaPointe, who wed Carla LaPointe and lives near Skaneateles.

Lillian LaSure lived at the Onondaga Country Club, during the 1950's, where she worked as a waitress.  Mrs. LaSure was born on 1-12-1906.  She married Reginald H. LaSure about 1927, and they separated about 1939.  Mr. LaSure worked as a retail jewelry salesman in Ashtabula, OH, and as a salesman for the Atlantic Services Co. while living in Fayetteville.  Mrs. LaSure later worked at the Candlelight gift shop in DeWitt.  Mr. LaSure died in July, 1973.  They had:  Reginald P. LaSure, who was born in OH on 9-29-1929, wed Laura J. Tily, and died in Tucson on 2-7-1996, Peter LaSure, and Nancy LaSure, who worked as a secretary at the Prosperity Co. in Syracuse.

Thomas F. Laurie and Edith Sherrill Laurie lived on Maple Dr. by 1939.  He was a native of Auburn, born 5-7-1881.  Dr. Laurie was a 1907 graduate of Cornell University medical school, and was a physician with offices in the Medical Arts Building in Syracuse.  He practiced urology in Syracuse from 1917 to 1951, and also taught at the SUNY medical school.  Dr. Laurie died 8-14-1969.   Mrs. Laurie was born 8-6-1887, and died in MA, on 2-13-1988, at age 100.  They had:  Thomas S. Laurie, who lived in El Cajon, CA, and Edith S. Laurie, who was an artist with the Coe Advertising Co., wed Russell Loftus, and lived in Sudbury, MA.

Bernard J. Lawler and Irene Yeomans Lawler lived on Hobson Ave. by 1942.  He was born 6-23-1906, and was a graduate of the University of Buffalo school of pharmacy.  Mr. Lawler was a druggist and operated Lawler's Drug Store at 4506 E. Genesee St. in DeWitt.  By the early 1950's the family had moved to 306 Haddonfield Rd. in DeWitt.  Mr. Lawler died on 12-21-65, and Mrs. Lawler is believed to have died 3-15-1999, in Pinellas Park, FL.  They had:  Bernard Lawler, Jr., who wed Jeanne Marie Abajian, and was an attorney residing in Fayetteville before his death on 7-14-1998, Martha Lawler Grevelding of Jamesville, Kathryn Lawler Lowenberg of Fayetteville, and Michael Lawler, who died in Durango, CO, on 9-19-88.

William B. Lawrence and Margaret Crissman Lawrence lived at 204 Maple Dr. by the mid 1950's.  He was the president of Cummins Diesel Co.  Their children:  Crissman Lawrence, who graduated from Colgate University, and was a USAF pilot and mortgage banker prior to his death in Scottsdale, AZ, on 10-5-2004,  Walter Lawrence, who was born 10-18-1943, and died in February, 1990, and Susan Lawrence.

Charles Paul Ledergerber and Miriam Beatrice Ledergerber lived on Dewey Ave. by 1953, and later lived in CA.  Dr. Ledergerber was born 6-3-1922, and was a gynecologist.  He practiced in Beverly Hills.  Mrs. Ledergerber was born on 2-1-1925, and died in CA on 4-16-2004.  Dr. Ledergerber died on 4-4-2006, while residing in Santa Barbara.  They had a daughter, "Marg" Ledergerber. 

Oscar Frederick Legler and Hazel Chapman Legler lived at 102 Dewey Ave. by 1942.  Mr. Legler was born in Erieville, NY, on 7-29-1894, and married Catherine Irene Chapin in 1920.  They divorced before 1937.  As a young man, Mr. Legler worked as a chauffeur for Dr. Frank Rupp, and was a gas station attendant.  Later he became a constable and deputy sheriff.

Glen Adelbert Lening and Ella Farrance Lening lived at 72 Lyndon Rd., following their wedding in 1930. The home belonged to  Mrs. Lening's mother, Gertrude Farrance.  Mr. Lening was a superintendent at the McIntyre Paper Co. in Fayetteville, and later was a machine repairman for the Easy Washer Co.  Mrs. Lening was born 7-21-1908, grew up in Lyndon, and lived in the Fayetteville and DeWitt area all of her life.  Mrs. Lening worked 25 years for the Fayetteville-Manlius school district, retiring in 1977.  Mr. Lening, who was born about 1903, died in 1963, and Mrs. Lening died on 9-13-1996.  Their children:  Dorothy Lening Hinds, who was with the Excelsior Insurance Co., and lived in Fayetteville, and Betty Lening Hinds, who was with the Farmers and Traders Insurance Co., and lived in Kirkville, NY.

Edward F. Leonard and Estelle Wirpsa Leonard lived at 42 Ely Dr. by 1953.  He operated Leonard's Belvedere restaurant, at 136 E. Genesee St., in Syracuse.  They had a son, Jay Edward Leonard.

Lucius G. Leonard and Josephine Baxter Leonard lived on Marvelle Rd. by 1930.  He was born about 1876, and was involved in the real estate business.  Mrs. Leonard, was born about 1877, and was a native of Hornell, NY.  She was living at 400 W. Onondaga St. in Syracuse at her death 5-2-1951.  Mr. Leonard is believed to have died about 1960.  They had Lucius Baxter Leonard, who was born 6-2-1904, wed Alta Christine Williams  of St. Petersburg, FL, on 10-6-1934, worked as a car dealer, and died in December, 1973, and Charlotte F. Leonard, who was born 10-11-1900, wed Col. Richard E. Quaintance on 9-21-1926, and lived in NYC and NJ before her death on 3-31-1993. 

Leonard Leveen and Ada Ellen Knock Leveen lived at 106 Kittell Rd. by 1960.  He was a CPA and worked as an estate planner and insurance broker.  She was a professional singer.  They divorced and Mrs. Leveen took the name of her grandparents, and is known now as Ada Roelke.  She spent 30 years in San Diego working as a psychiatric solcial worker, and lives now in Carson City NV.  Mr. Leveen married Zayne Leveen, who was a graduate of St. Joseph's nursing school.  She died 7-20-2004, and Mr. Leveen lives now in Boca Raton, FL.  Leonard and Ada Leveen had:  Steven Leveen, who earned a doctorate in sociology at Cornell University, wed Lori Granger, owns Levenger, a catalog company specializing in upscale products for readers and writers, and lives in Delray Beach, FL, Joll Leveen Greene, of Freeport, ME, and Karen Leveen Bahnsen of Palm City, FL.

Edward C. Levernoch and Ellen Bell Levernoch lived on Lyndon Rd. by 1942, having lived before at 121 South Mill St., in Fayetteville.  Mr. Levernoch was born on 3-1-1907, and was a supervisor for the Rollway Bearing Co.  He died in January, 1970.  A native of Rochester, Mrs. Levernoch was born 5-9-1911, and lived 52 years in Fayetteville before moving to Cicero about 1981.  She died 2-9-1994.  They shared their home with Rose F. Levernoch, Mr. Levernoch's mother.  She was the widow of Jett C. Levernoch, and was born about 1874 in England.  Jett (or possibly Rojet) Levernoch was a machine operator at the Stickley factory in Fayetteville at his death on 11-25-1939, at age 63.  Edward and Ellen Bell Levernoch had a daughter, Barbara Levernoch Clark, who lives in Cicero, NY.

Spencer H. Lewis and Ursula Clark Lewis lived on South Gate Rd. by 1953, and later lived on Highbridge St. in Fayetteville, and in Boca Raton, FL.  Mr. Lewis, a native Syracusan, was born on 2-2-1897, and graduated from Syracuse University in 1921.  He was the manager of the foreign division of the Easy Washer Co.  Mrs. Lewis was born in Boston.  She graduated from the Boston Bouve School of Physical Education and taught physical education at Syracuse University during the 1920's.  Mr. Lewis died on 3-13-1976, in Boca Raton, and Mrs. Lewis died on 10-25-1984. They had:  Charles S. "Chic" Lewis, who lived in Rochester, and Joan Lewis Massey, of DeWitt.

G. Wyatt "Chief" Lighton and Gertrude Riley Lighton lived at 4 Lynacres Blvd. by 1953.  Mr. Lighton was born 8-20-1913, and was a 1935 graduate of Syracuse University.  He was the treasurer of the Lewis F. Lighton General Insurance Agency.  Mrs. Lighton was an accessories buyer for the Addis Co. before her death on 12-14-1956, at age 41.   Mr. Lighton subsequently wed Justine Lighton.  He died 3-13-1979.  The children of G. Wyatt and Gertrude Lighton:  Lynne Lighton Hanly Kemmerer, of Manlius, and Lewis W. Lighton, who died of a heart ailment on 9-12-1959, at age 10.

Charles W. Linart and Carol Brockett Linart lived at 57 Lynacres Blvd. by 1960.  Born in Schenectady, Dr.
Linart was a graduate of Union College and Albany Medical College.  During the Korean conflict, he was a medical officer in the Navy.  In Syracuse, Dr. Linart was an orthopedic surgeon, and taught at the SUNY Upstate Medical center.  He lived in the Syracuse area 19 years, before his death on 10-22-1972.  Mrs. Linart still resides in Lynacres.  They had:  Charles W. Linart, Jr., who wed Signe Gehring, and lives in the Denver area, James Bradford Linart, who married Jully Ann Harris in 1975, and lives in Walhalla, SC, David Brent Linart, who wed Leslie O. Linart, and lives in Aurora, CA, and Janice B. Linart, who was born about 1956, graduated from RIT, worked for the Carrier Co., and wed Paul F. Murphy on 10-16-1982.

George F. Lindemer and Altamae Reimers Lindemer lived at 144 Edwards Dr. by 1955.  Mr. Lindemer was born in Syracuse and was a 1913 graduate of Columbia University School of Optometry.  He was a veteran of World War I, serving in the Naval Aviation Service.  Mr. Lindemer operated the Lindemer Optical and Photographic store in Syracuse for 50 years until he retired in 1966.  Mrs. Lindemer attended the Arnold College of Physical Education, in New Haven, CT., and taught physical education in Syracuse schools for a short time.  Mrs. Lindemer died on 10-4-1970 and Mr. Lindemer died on 8-10-1985, at age 92.  They had two sons:  Lawrence B. Lindemer, who was born August, 1921, of Stockbridge, MI, and George R. Lindemer, a 1946 graduate of Cornell University, who lived in DeWitt.

Gordon C. Lipe and Phyllis "Pinky" Burt Lipe lived on Brockway Lane by 1955.  He was born 5-5-1928.  On 8-16-1929, when he was 15 months old,  Mr. Lipe's parents drowned after their speed boat hit a rock near their property in the Thousand Islands.  Mr. Lipe was a project engineer for the Omega Aircraft Corp.  He was widely known for his research and efforts in behalf of ski safety.  Mr. Lipe died on 7-15-1983, while living in Teton, WY.  Born in Syracuse, Mrs. Lipe had an interest in antiques and genealogy and was a member of the DAR.  She died on 8-23-2006, while residing in Skaneatles.  Their children:  Darryl Lipe, who was married to Mary Jane Lipe, Darcy Lipe Sisto, who married Greg Sisto, Tracy Lipe Santariello, who wed Michael Santariello, Kevin Lipe, and Clifford Lipe.

Walter O. Lipfert and Artelissa Tice Lipfert lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by about 1957.  Mr. Lipfert graduated from Syracuse University in 1953 with a master's in education.  That same yea, he began teaching at the Skytop facility for the Jamesville-DeWitt school district.  In the fall of 1954, the new J-D high school opened and Mr. Lipfert was among the original faculty members.  Later, Mr. Lipfert returned to graduate school and earned certification as a school psychologist.  Mrs. Lipfert was employed as a technician.  At some point the couple divorced and Mrs. Lipfert was living in Groton, NY, at her death on 12-25-1988.  Mr. Lipfert married Kathleen Mulvaney Bothwell, and they reside in Auburn.  The second Mrs. Lipfert is a native of Moravia, NY, and is a pastoral minister at St. Mary's Church in Auburn.  Walter and Artelissa Lipfert had three children:  Artelissa Lipfert, Laura Lipfert, and Lawrence Lipfert.

Charles H. Litty and Anne Morin Litty lived at 10 Ely Dr. by 1960.  Mr. Litty graduated from Notre Dame and took a job in Buenos Aires with the Singer Sewing Machine Co.  While there he met and married Anne Mae Morrin, who was from Omaha, NE.  Mrs. Litty was a graduate of Arnold College of Physical Education at New Haven, CT.  While in Lyndon, Mr. Litty worked at Bristol Laboratories.  The couple had moved to Daytona Beach, FL, when Mr. Litty died on 10-12-1981.  It is believed that Mrs. Litty died in FL on 7-22-1992.  They had:  Stephen Litty, Jonathan Litty, and Christine Litty.

Beryl Edward Livingston and Helen Lemira Millis Livingston lived at 7 Ely Dr. by 1953.  He was an executive with the Carrier Corp. and she was a teacher at Manlius Elementary School.  Mr. Livingston was born on 11-15-1908, and died on 3-13-1958.

Gerald W. Loomis and Frederica E. Loomis lived on Genesee St. by 1942.  He was born in Carthage, and was a 1934 graduate of Syracuse University.  Mr. Loomis taught briefly in Eastwood, and Mrs. Loomis worked at the Percy Hughes school in Syracuse.  Mr. Loomis later worked for the Raytheon Corp., and retired after 32 years with them.  Mr. Loomis was a ham radio operator for 58 years with the call letters W1PAD, and was an avid bridge player.  After living in Lyndon, the couple lived in Natick, MA, and moved to Hendersonville, NC, in 1978.  Mrs. Loomis died 9-3-1990, while they resided in Hendersonville.  About 1992, Mr. Loomis moved to Laguna Hills, CA, where he resided at his death on 10-20-1993.  Their children:  John C. Loomis, of Laguna Beach, and Karen Loomis O'Brien, of Athol, MA.

James O. Lounsbury and Mary Stepneski Lounsbury lived at 223 Maple Dr. by 1953, and, later at 412 Maple Dr.  Mr. Lounsbury was born on 12-8-1913, and was the owner of the Lounsbury Construction Co. Inc., for 37 years.  He built homes in the Fayetteville, Manlius, and DeWitt areas.  A native of Elmira, Mr. Lounsbury resided in the Syracuse area most of his life.  He died 11-27-1981.  Mrs. Lounsbury, was also from Elmira, but lived in the Syracuse area from 1944 until her death on 8-8-1997, at her home in Pompey.  They had:  Marilyn J. Lounsbury, of Pompey, and Sonya Lounsbury Ramsey, of Jamesville. 

Joseph A. Luczyski and Kathleen Dunn Luczyski lived at 108 Dewey Ave. by about 1947.  Mr. Luczyski was a native of Syracuse, and worked as a carpenter.  He retired as a custodian from the East Syracuse-Minoa School District, and died on 10-5-1992.  Mrs. Luczyski, who was born about 1920, was a cook at the Pebble Hill school.  She still resides in Lyndon.  They had:  Kathleen Yockell of North Syracuse, Daniel M. Luczyski, of Manlius, Richard A. Luczyski, of Pasadena, CA, and Joseph E. Luczyski, who worked in the insurance business, and lives in Mesa, AZ.

Edward J. Lynch and Catherine Mallary Lynch lived at 3 Lynacres Blvd. by 1960.  He was the distribution manager for the Sylvania Electric Co.  Their children:  Stephen A. Lynch, who graduated from Syracuse University in 1962, wed Susan Switz, and served as a USAF officer in Vietnam, and Karen Lynch. 

John F. Lynch and Mary Louise Harrigan Lynch lived at 32 Ely Dr. by 1953.  Mr. Lynch grew up on Syracuse's North Side.  He graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in 1930, when the Catholic school was at State and Willow streets in downtown Syracuse.  He played basketball at CBA on a team that won three championships and later became the school's youngest basketball coach at age 21.  Mr. Lynch was the manager of the commercial real estate department for the Eagan Real Estate firm, and was involved in the development of many major real estate enterprises including Shoppingtown in DeWitt.  At age 75, he started his own property management and leasing company, The John Lynch Co., which he sold in 1990.  In 1997, Mr. Lynch was inducted into the Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame.  The couple had moved to Woodchuck Hill Rd. prior to Mrs. Lynch's death there on 12-4-1996.  Mrs. Lynch was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area and was very active in civic and cultural affairs.  Mr. Lynch died 6-23-2005, while visiting his son in in Houston.  He was 94.  Their children:  J. Terrence Lynch, of Houston, and Joy Lynch Yahwak, born in February, 1952, who graduated from Syracuse University in 1976, married Michael Yahwak, and lives in Saratoga Springs, NY.

William H. MacDonald and Virginia Cave MacDonald lived on Maple Dr., having moved there in 1955 from Verona, NJ.  Mr. MacDonald was born in New Jersey, and was a vice president and plant manager for the Carrier Corp.  The family lived in the Syracuse area before moving to Carteret County, NC, about 1973.   Mr. MacDonald retired as a captain in the USA.  He died in NC on 9-19-1991.  Mrs. MacDonald lived then at Pine Knoll Shores, NC. They had:  William MacDonald, III, who wed Virginia Duncan, and later, Linda Davis, and was a furniture upholsterer residing in Crescent City, FL, at his death on 4-18-2000, his twin, Jean MacDonald Miller, of Big Canoe, GA, and Garen B. MacDonald, of Dover, PA.

Ransom G. MacKenzie and Marjorie Smith MacKenzie lived at 5181 Brockway Lane by 1960, and later moved to The Orchard in Fayetteville.  Mr. MacKenzie was born 9-1-1906, and was a 1929 graduate of Syracuse University.  He was the president at the Marine Midland Trust Co.  Mr. MacKenzie died on 4-24-1982.  Mrs. MacKenzie was a life resident of the Syracuse area.  She was an artist and active in many community affairs before her death on 11-25-1993.  

Ian K. Maclachlan and Liana Cernoiz Maclachlan lived on Brockway Lane by 1960.  He was born in Toronto, Ontario, on 12-30-1913, and was educated at Ridley College in St. Catherines, Ontario, and received a degree in medicine from the University of Toronto in 1938.  He also earned a degree in industrial medicine from the University of Cincinnati in 1950.  He then worked for two years for the America Can Co, near Chicago.  From 1953 to 1984, he was the medical director at the Carrier Corp. in Syracuse.  Liana Cernoiz, was Dr. Maclachlan's second wife.  She died in 1968.  About 1989, Dr. Maclachlan married Ula Maclachlan.  He died on 6-28-2007.  He had:  Ian "Sandy" Maclachlan, who lives in Syracuse, and Penny Maclachlan Sopinka, of Campbellville, Ontario.

William A. Mader and Jeanne Jarvis Mader lived on Lyndon Rd. by 1953.  Mr. Mader was born 2-18-1912, and was a metallurgist at the Oberdorfer Foundries.  The couple later resided at 309 Eden Roc Circle, in DeWitt, and in Rio Rancho, NM.  Mr. Mader died 9-24-1996, and Mrs. Mader, who was born 7-5-1925, died on 9-15-2000, while living in NM.  Their children:  William Mader, and David Mader.  

John J. Mahoney and Jean Goodwin Mahoney lived on Brockway Lane by 1960.  He was a salesman for the Alumnium Cooking Utensil Co.  They had:  John Mahoney, III.  

Dorothy Malcolm lived at 219 Hobson Ave. by 1960, and later moved to Liverpool.  Mrs. Malcolm was divorced from Russell Basom Malcolm, a Syracuse police detective.  She was born 12-14-1902, and the Malcolms were married about 1925.  Mrs. Malcolm won many prizes and awards for her skill as a marksman.  She was a decorator as a young woman and later worked for the Unity Mutual Life Ins. Co. as a receptionist and switch board operator.  Mrs. Malcolm retired from Unity in 1970 after 20 years of service, and died in December, 1986.  Her children:  Russell Malcolm, Jr., who lived in Syracuse, and Rebecca Malcolm Trussell, of Silver Springs, MD.

Francis P. Maloney and Mary Moore Maloney lived at 15 Lynacres Blvd. by 1953.  Mr. Maloney was a graduate of Syracuse University and a 1931 graduate of the University's law school.  He retired in 1978 as a member and senior partner of the MacKenzie, Smith, Lewis, Michell & Hughes firm after 47 years.  Mr. Maloney was a native of Syracuse.  He and Mrs. Maloney resided in Skaneateles before moving to Whispering Pines, NC.  He died in NC on 9-26-1992.  Mrs. Maloney was born in Syracuse, and graduated from Trinity College.  She also received a master's degree from Syracuse University, and was an English and Latin teacher in Skaneateles and Syracuse.  She died on 1-31-2003.  Their children:  John Tucker Maloney, of Syracuse, who died in 2000, and Mary Kathleen Maloney, who lives in Marina Del Ray, CA.

Ray C. Malvin and Alice Wetherill Malvin lived at 42 Ely Dr. by about 1953.  A native of Cleveland, WI, Mr. Malvin served in WWI and received a degree in mechanical and electrical engineering in 1921 from the Armour Institute of Technology, in Chicago.  Mrs. Malvin was a native of New York City, and was a special education teacher for 27 years in the Chicago school system.  During the period from 1942 to 1955, Mr. Malvin served as vice president and general plant manager with the Fitzgibbons Boiler Co. and as general manager of the Auburn plant of U.S. Hoffman Industries.  He retired in 1961 as vice president of Houdaille Industries.  Mr. Malvin died 1-9-1987, at age 89, and Mrs. Malvin died 6-11-1987.

Edward Mangan and his wife moved to the Lyndon Trailer Park shortly after their marriage in 1946.  On 9-15-1946, the interior of their home was destroyed by fire.

Constantin Basil Maniotes and Elizabeth Woodfin Maniotes lived at 219 Hobson Ave. by 1960.  He was born in 1931, and was an architect with the Sargent, Webster, Crenshaw, and Folley firm.

Stanley F. Manister and Helen D. Manister lived at 14 Ely Dr.  They moved to Lyndon from Silver Springs, MD, about 1950.  He was the district manager for Hiram Walker, Inc., having joined the company in 1946.  She died in Boulder, CO, on 1-20-1998, and he died there on 5-16-2001, at age 87.

Eldred H. Manning and Harriet Westlake Manning lived on Lyndon Rd. by 1945.  Mr. Manning was the district sales manager for the Socony Vacuum Oil Co.  He was with the company 30 years at his death on 12-11-1959.  Mrs. Manning, a native of Elmira, died 6-23-1985, in Dunedin, FL.  Their children:  Suzanne Manning, who married Charles Sprung, and lived in Chittenango before moving to Clearwater Beach, FL, and William R. Manning, who married Judith Wheeler, a classmate at Jamesville-DeWitt high school, lived in Maitland, FL, and died on 8-18-1993.

Richard W. Marsellus and Dona Clare Beesemyer Marsellus lived on Brockway Lane by the early 1950's, having lived earlier at 201 Pelham Rd. in DeWitt, and in Cazenovia.  He was an executive of the Marsellus Casket Co. before moving to Newport Beach, CA, in 1953.  They later moved to Rancho Santa Fe, CA.   Mrs. Marsellus was born 10-27-1920, and died 3-8-2007.  They had:  Darryl W. Marsellus, who lives in Palo Cedro, CA, Derrick Marsellus, who drowned 5-2-1961, at age 16, when the ship he was on sank in the Gulf of Mexico, and Heidi Marsellus.  

David N. Mardon and Frances Rivoli Mardon lived at the Lyndon Trailer Park by 1960.  While in Lyndon he worked as a lab assistant and she was a receptionist.  Mr. Mardon earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Buffalo and, in 1968, received his doctorate from Syracuse University.  He now lives in Richmond, KY, and is a biology professor at Eastern Kentucky University.

Harry R. Margetts and Beryl Robinson Margetts lived at 10 Lynacres Blvd. by 1942.  Mr. Margetts was born 5-29-1891, and was the director of operations with the Solvay Process Co.  They moved to Santa Barbara, CA, prior to their deaths.  Mr. Margetts died in February, 1980.  Mrs. Margetts, who was born 9-25-1891, died in April, 1985.  They had:  Marina Margetts, who was born about 1934, and is believed to reside now in the Miami area.  

Sarah A. E. Marsh, the widow of Frederick E. Marsh, lived on Lyndon Rd. by 1942, and earlier lived on Genesee St.  The Marshs were both natives of England.  Mr. Marsh was born about 1871, and Mrs. Marsh was born about 1876.  She immigrated to America in 1894, and Mr. Marsh came five years later.  They were married about 1915. 

Mary (or possibly, Marion) Marsh lived on Genesee St. by 1942.  She was born about 1863, and was the widow of James Marsh.  Both were natives of England, and very likely related to Frederick and Sarah Marsh (see their listing above).  Mr. Marsh was born about 1852, and came to the US as a young man.  He and his family farmed in Marcellus, and then moved to Lyndon by 1930.  They had three sons, all of whom were born in NY:  Ernest J. Marsh, who was born about 1889, Ellis F. Marsh, who was born about 1891, and Gordon H. Marsh, who was born about 1894.

H. H. Marshall and Constance B. Marshall lived on Maple Dr. by 1942.  He was an engineer for the Carrier Corp.  They had:  Richard W. Marshall, who was an engineer for the Crane Corp., and lived in Worcester, MA, and Elizabeth B. Marshall, who was the assistant display manager at Hengerer's department store in Buffalo.

Frederick J. Martin and Frances VanValkenburg Martin lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by the early 1950's, having lived earlier at 134 Hasbrook St., in Syracuse.  He was a home builder and when the Martins left the park it was to move into a home at 100 Hunt Dr. in Fayetteville that Mr. Martin had just completed.  By 1961, they had moved to a new development just east of Fayetteville.  Mrs. Martin was born about 1912, and grew up in Syracuse.  The couple were married about 1932.  They had: Sherman F. Martin, who was born 5-6-1933, graduated from the Academy of Aviation, wed Marilyn Margaret Tobin on 6-12-1954, was an engineer for the North American Aviation Corp., and was residing in East Northport, NY, at his death on 10-12-2002, and Wayne Martin, who was born about 1945, 

Howard E. Martin and Elsie Burns Martin lived at 6 Thistlewood Lane by 1960.  He was a salesman for the Dunbar Furniture Co.  Mr. Martin retired in 1976, and the couple moved to Winchester, VA, where he died on 5-8-1980.  Their children:  Ann Martin, who wed Samuel G. Newhard in 1966, and lived in Tiffin, OH, and Donald L. Martin, who studied at Harvard University, and lived in Shaker Hts., OH.

Howard J. Martin and Eleanor Greeley Martin lived at 212 Kittell Rd. by 1960.  He was a salesman.  They had:  Susan Martin, Carol Martin, and Peter Martin.

Sachiyuki Masumoto lived at 2 Lynacres Blvd. by 1953.

Morris Mayers and Josephine Mayers lived at 207 Kittell Rd. by 1952.  A native of New York City, Mr. Mayers lived in the Syracuse area for 60 years.  He served in the Army in World War I.  Mr. Mayers retired in 1965 as a sales representative with Metropolitan Life Insurance Co.  He had moved to 109 Ardsley Dr., in DeWitt, before his death on 4-3-1983.  They had a daughter who wed J. Edward Barry, and lived nearby (see their listing).

James Wallace McBride and Jayne McBride lived at 19 Lynacres Blvd. about 1948.  Mr. McBride grew up in Winnipeg, Canada.  As a child he enjoyed building model airplanes.  As he grew older he designed his own wings for his model planes, one of which held a non-powered flight record for 52 years.  During World War II, he was in England where he participated in several classified projects for the Allies.  After the War, Mr. McBride spent two years teaching aeronautical engineering at Purdue University.  Then, in 1948, he joined the Carrier Corp. in Syracuse to design high-speed compressor systems.  In 1956, he moved to Cincinnati to join GE.  His ideas and theories about jet engines, and his advanced compressor designs, were instrumental in permitting the company to become a major manufacturer of jet engines.
Mrs. McBride died in 1994, and Mr. McBride later wed Marilyn Krehbiel McBride.  He died 4-12-1999.  James and Jayne McBride had:  Graham McBride. 

John T. McCarty and Carol Holly McCarty lived at 509 Maple Dr. by 1960.  Mr. McCarty was born in Saginaw, MI,  He served in WWII and graduated from the University of Michigan in 1947.  He then joined the General Electric Co. in Schenectady and held various positions in public and employee relations.  In 1958, he was named manager of employee and plant community relations for the company's Syracuse operations.  During the 1960's, Mr. McCarty helped organize the NYS Conservative Party.  He left GE in 1965 to work in academic settings, but in 1977 he accepted the challenge of  founding a public affairs division of Coors Brewery in Golden, CO.  He died there on 8-25-1985.  Their children:  Thomas McCarty, Michael McCarty, Peter McCarty, and Justin McCarty, III. 

John H. McClennan and Jane D. McClennan lived on Maple Dr. by 1953.  He was an engineer for the General Electric Co., and was transferred to Boston in 1955.  It is thought that Mrs. McClennan lives now in Winchester, MA.  Their children:  Joanne McClennan, Susan McClennan, Elizabeth McClennan, and Peter McClennan.

Frank C. McClintock and Clara Eckert McClintock lived at 103 Kittell Rd. by 1953.  Mr. McClintock was born 2-14-1900, in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, and resided in Syracuse for 55 years.  Mr. McClintock was the doorman for the Onondaga Hotel for over 30 years until its closing.  He retired in 1970 as a time keeper for the county parks and recreation department.  He died on 12-9-1982.  Mrs. McClintock was born 1-20-1901 and was a life resident of the area.  She worked for Bache & Co., a stock brokerage firm.  She died 10-30-1991.

William McCollough lived on a farm on Genesee St. by 1942.  Mr. McCollough's family was from Camlough, Ireland.  He was employed as a horse trainer and stable manager for Lyndon Farms.  Under his training many thoroughbred horses won championships in the show ring.  Mr. McCollough entered the service on 5-6-1942, and was an NCO in the Army Air Corps.

Esther B. McCormick lived on Marvelle Rd. by 1960, having lived previously at 1000 Jamesville Rd. in DeWitt.  She was the widow of John J. McCormick.  Mr. McCormick had been an executive with the L. C. Smith Typewriter Co.  Mrs. McCormick was an antique dealer and interior decorator.  She was born in Chicago on 4-15-1895, and was a graduate of Ward-Belmont school in Nashville.  Mrs. McCormick died in Manlius on 2-11-1982.  They had:  Diane McCormick, Mary Lou McCormick Kelly, who lived in NYC, and later in Hendersonville, NC, Suzanne McCormick Savage, and Robert B. McCormick, both of Fayetteville.

James Breese McCormick and Dorothy Queen McCormick lived on Lyndon Rd. by 1942.  Mr. McCormick was born in Syracuse on 2-5-1993, and served as a lieutenant with the USA during World War I in France and earlier during the Mexican border conflict.  He was vice president and sales manager for the Corona Typewriter Co. in Syracuse.  Mrs. McCormick was a native of Boston, but moved to the Syracuse area in 1930.  Mr. McCormick died on 5-31-1974, and Mrs. McCormick died on 11-2-1999.  They had:  James McCormick, Jr., who wed Ann Metz, was vice president for product management at Smith Corona, and resided in Cortland at his death on 9-17-1997, Ann McCormick Scott, who wed Douglas A. Scott, and lives in Alexandria, VA, Susan McCormick O'Shea, who lived in St. Petersburg, FL, and Dorothee McCormick, who wed Richard Grossman, and lives in East Syracuse. 

John Bernard McDonald and Helen Louise Meager McDonald lived at 34 Ely Dr. in 1950.  He was an engine dispatcher for the NYC railroad and she was a former home economics teacher in Cortland and Herkimer, NY.  She died 6-3-1983, and he died in Latham, NY, on 10-18-1984.  They had:  John McDonald, Jr., who lived in Kinderhook, NY, Michael T. McDonald, and Kevin C. McDonald, who both lived in Loudonville, NY,  Kathleen A. Lorenz, who lived in Holland, and Mary Helen McDonald, born in 1947, and Theresa McDonald Joslin, born in May,1956, both living in Latham, NY.

Herbert J. McElroy and Anna Wright McElroy lived at 115 Hobson Ave. by the early 1950's.  He was born in Nedrow on 11-7-1911.  Mr. McElroy was a sales representative for 40 years, a corporate secretary of the Bentley Settle Co., in Syracuse, and a sales representative for the Cicero Wire and Rod Co.  He was a co-founder of Troop 106 Lyndon BSA.  The couple moved to Skaneateles about 1979, and Mr. McElroy died on 8-16-2000.  They had:  Charles P. McElroy, who lives in Skaneateles, and James R. McElroy, who lived in Wappingers Falls, NY.

Lewis Bryant McGlohon and Mary Pendergraft McGlohon lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by 1955.  Mr. McGlohon was born in Ayden, NC, on 8-7-1925.  Mrs. McGlohon was from Eureka Springs, AR.  The couple was wed on 10-7-1951. He was a career USAF pilot, having joined the Army Air Corps in 1943.  After completing pilot training, he remained on active military duty for 30 years during which he flew numerous types of aircraft for more than 6,000 flying hours.  While stationed in Tampa, he attended college at night and graduated from Florida Southern College in 1963.  After retiring from the military, Mr. McGlohon worked from 1974 to 1987, as a safety inspector and consultant for the NC Department of Labor.  Mrs. McGlohon died on 7-7-2002, and Mr. McGlohon died 1-24-2007 in Greenville, NC.  The couple adopted and raised three children:  Michael Bryant McGlohon of Black Mountain, NC, Kimberly Diane McGlohon and Nancy Kathryn Corbett, both of Winterville, NC.

Robert E. McGowen and Esther Pletcher McGowen lived at 3 Clara Rd. by 1960.  Mr. McGowen was born 1-24-1925, in Nappanee, IN, and was the warehouse manager for the Mitchell Love Co.  Mr. McGowen was residing in Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, at his death on 5-24-2001.  Their children:  Randall McGowen, Charles McGowen, who lived in Camillus, Philip McGowen, Robert McGowen, Steven McGowen, and Elizabeth McGowen Connors, who lived in Fulton, NY.  

Clark H. McKee and Marion Brautigam McKee lived at the corner of Ely Dr. and E. Genesee St. by 1960.  He was born in Smithsville, OH, in October, 1897.  He was a sales representative for Lutz & Schramm.  In 1961, the McKees moved to Eagle Bay Park, NY, and were living there when Mr. McKee died on 4-4-1979. They had two daughters:  Kathryn McKee, of Eagle Bay Park, and Susan McKee, who married George Lane of Palm Springs, CA.  From a previous marriage, Mrs. McKee had a daughter, Barbara Paul, who lived in Weirsdale, FL.

W. Gerard McKee and Mrs. McKee purchased the home at 321 Edwards Dr. in July, 1955.  He graduated from Syracuse University in 1913, and was a resident of the Syracuse area most of his life.  Mr. McKee was associated with Brown-Lipe-Chapin as a metallurgist.  He later was employed for 25 years by the Republic Steel Co.  He died on 6-2-1972.  They had a son, William G. McKee, Jr.,, of Camillus, and a daughter, Suzanne McKee of DeWitt.

Harold M. McKeegan and Mildred Jakway McKeegan lived at 5160 Brockway Lane by 1960.  They were the co-owners of the Forget Me Not Potato Chip Co. from 1935 to 1955.  Mr. McKeegan died 1-11-1976.  Mrs. McKeegan was a life resident of the Syracuse area.  She was a graduate of Syracuse University's School of Fine Arts, and sang professionally at area churches.  She died 12-25-1990. 

Harrison P. "Frank" McKenna lived at 117 Maple Dr. by 1960.  He was born 11-15-1923, in Syracuse, and served in WWII.  Mr. McKenna worked for the General Electric Co. 20 years.  He died 11-27-1998.  He lived in his parent's home  (see below).

Helena Harrison McKenna lived at 117 Maple by 1960.  She was born about 1887, and was from the Cortland area, although she lived in the Syracuse area more than 70 years.  Mrs. McKenna was a 1913 graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital school of nursing and was a registered nurse.  She served in the Army Nursing Corps during WWI.  Mrs. McKenna died 4-7-1984, at age 96.  She had:  John T. McKenna, who lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by 1960, and worked as a soil tester for the state, and Harrison P. McKenna, who lived on Maple Dr.

Robert F. McLean and Patricia Hart Nann McLean lived at 120 Dewey Ave. by 1953.  Mr. McLean was an agent for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. and worked other times as a bartender.  He was an Army veteran of World War II.  Mrs. McLean was a life resident of Syracuse, and graduated from Syracuse University in 1946.  She retired from the University in 1995, following 25 years as an administrative assistant.  Mrs. McLean died on 9-2-2005, while residing in Syracuse.  They had:  Andrew K. McLean, who died in 1998,  Anna C. McLean Jackson, of Syracuse, Patricia McLean Radford,  Robert F. McLean, Jr., of Syracuse, who married Patricia McLean, Sheron McLean Burrows, who married William Burrows, of Baldwinsville, and Casey M. McLean, who married Donna McLean, and lived in Syracuse.

Edward E. McNally and Claire McNally lived on Leverett Lane by 1942, and moved to Hunt Lane in Fayetteville in 1951.  Mr. McNally was a native of Chicago, and a naval veteran of WWI.  He was the sales manager for the L. C. Smith Typewriter Co., before retiring in 1958 after 25 years of service.  In 1951, Mr. McNally won a national championship in a skeet shooting contest.  The family moved to Sarasota, FL, where Mr. McNally died on 12-20-1964.  Mrs. McNally, a native of Minnesota, moved from FL, to San Diego, about 1970, and died there on 10-19-1980.  They had Eugenia Claire "Jean" McNally, who married Frank J. Cashier, and lived on Maple Dr. (see the Cashier entry), Joan D. McNally, who lived in San Diego, and Patricia Kathryn McNally, who worked for the New York Telephone Co., married Dr. Sarsfield O'Connor, Jr., in 1950, and, later, wed Edward J. Welsh, and lived in Fayetteville.

Thomas Goldsborough Meachem and Ethel Russell Meachem lived on Edwards Dr. by 1942.  He was born 6-24-1912, and  worked in Syracuse as a salesman.  They married in her home town of Lakewood, OH, on 10-10-1934.  Mr. Meachem was the grandson of Thomas W. Meachem, of Academy Green, in Syracuse, and thus was a member of the prominent family for whom Meachem Park was named.  At some point, Mr. and Mrs. Meachem moved to Daytona Beach, FL, and were residing there at their deaths.  Mr. Meachem died on 1-9-1998, and Mrs. Meachem, who was born on 8-17-1908, died on 5-23-2004. 

William M. Meehan and Cora Jane Quinn Meehan lived at the corner of Edwards Dr. and Genesee St. by 1960.  He was a native of Buckland, MA, and came to the Syracuse area in 1923.  Mr. Meehan established the William M. Meehan and Sons Co., which was engaged in industrial sales as a manufacturer's rep.  He died 12-11-1960, and she died 6-29-1966.  They had four children:  William F. Meehan, who married Mary Jane Meehan, worked in the family business, and died 6-27-1984, Helen Meehan, who wed Edward F. Allen, and lived in Rochester, Cappy Meehan, who married Robert G. O'Hara, and lived on Merritt Island, FL, and Robert S. Meehan, who lived in MA.

Harry A. Merriam and Florence Rowley Merriam lived on Genesee St. by 1920.  He was born about 1892, and was a machine operator for the New Process Gear Co.  Later Mr. Merriam operated a saw filing and lawn mower sharpening service from his home.  He died, at age 63, on 6-20-1955.  Mrs. Merriam's father, Edgar B. Rowley, who was born about 1862, lived with the family.  Mrs. Merriam was born about 1897, and was living in East Syracuse at her death on 6-7-1976.  Their children:  Howard Eugene "Gene" Merrian, who was born about 1922, was a WWII veteran, worked later as a brakeman for the DL & W railroad, and lived in East Syracuse, Edgar Merriam, who lived in North Syracuse, and Roger Merriam, who retired after 43 years with Conrail, and resided in Minoa at his death on 5-13-1999.

Albert Bacon Merrill and Rena Wicks Merrill lived on Marvelle Rd. by 1960.  Mr. Merrill began a career in banking about 1912, and served as president and later chairman of the board of the First Trust & Deposit Co.  He also became chairman of the board of trustees at Syracuse University.  Mr. Merrill died 2-25-1960, while vacationing in AZ, and Mrs. Merrill died 8-26-1971. Their children:  Jean Merrill Hammeken, who married John Hammeken, and lived at 109 Lynbrook Circle in DeWitt until her death on 2-21-1989, and Hollis Merill Russell, who graduated from Syracuse University in 1941, married Richard W. Russell and lived in Dewittshire until her death on 7-12-2004, at age 85.  On 3-15-1956, Mrs. Russell was credited with saving the life of a five year old child who had been the subject of an extensive search in the vicinity of the Onondaga Country Club.  The missing youngster, John P. Byrne, had been lost for hours in the darkness and 10 degree cold when Mrs. Russell found him unhurt.

Edward W. Mertz and Edna Waide Mertz lived at 9 Lynacres Blvd. by 1942, having lived earlier in TX, and then at 3417 S. Salina St., in Syracuse.  Mr. Mertz was born 6-28-1891, and worked as a mechanical engineer for the Geometric Tool Co.   Mrs. Mertz, was born in MS, on 8-2-1900, and the couple married about 1922, probably in Houston.  Mr. Mertz died in Los Angeles, on 7-14-1974, and Mrs. Mertz died there in December, 1983.  Their children:  Carol Jean Mertz Kramer, who was born in 1928, and wed Norbert Edwin Kramer on 6-25-1948, and Edward Mertz, Jr., who was born in 1926.

F. Dan Mesmer and Catherine Risley Mesmer and lived at 507 Maple Dr. by 1953.  Mr. Mesmer was a life resident of the Syracuse area, and was a 1926 graduate of Syracuse University.  A native of Utica, Mrs. Mesmer resided most of her life in the DeWitt area. She was a graduate of the Syracuse University School of Nursing.  Mr. Mesmer retired in 1968 as branch manager, after more than 40 years with the General Accident Insurance Co.  Starting about 1950, the family spent summers at Shelter Island, on Fourth Lake, near Old Forge, NY.  Mrs. Mesmer died 9-1-1982, and Mr. Mesmer died 2-12-1990.  They had: C. Carole Mesmer Rehkugler, who lived in Cortland, NY, Diane Mesmer Douglas, who lives in Canton Center, CT, and Thomas D. Mesmer, II, of Old Forge.

Col. Herbert G. Messer and Ruth Mullarky Messer lived on Leverett Lane, having purchased the home from the McNally family in 1951.  The couple had lived earlier in several places including TX, and New Haven, CT.  Col. Messer was a native of Ft. Worth, TX, and was born 12-13-1895.  Mrs. Messer was from OH, and was born on 6-8-1895.  The couple wed about 1920, probably having met while both worked at the National Soldier's Home in Elizabeth City, VA.  Col. Messer was a retired Signal Corps officer and worked for the General Electric Co. while living in Lyndon.  Mrs. Messer died on 11-12-1971, and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.  Col. Messer died on 12-4-1984, while residing in Fort Lauderdale. They had:  Mary Messer, who was born in TX about  1912.

John R. Meyering and Gloria Yorton Meyering lived at 325 Edwards Dr. by 1955.  She graduated from Syracuse University in 1948.  He was born in 1918, and grew up in the Rochester area.  Mr. Meyering was an instructor at the State College of Forestry where he earned his master's degree.  The family later moved to Riverside, CT.  Their children:  John Meyering, who graduated from Syracuse University in 1976, wed Christine Hapsari, and is the president of an architectural firm in Alexandria, VA, Christopher P. Meyering, and Patricia J. Meyering.

Edward J. Michel and Charlotte Durfus Michel lived at 17 Ely Dr. by 1953.  Mr. Michel was a native of Meadville, PA, and attended Allegheny College and Georgetown University.  He was the executive director of the Dale Carnegie program, and later he worked for the U.S. Secret Service.  Both died in Meadville--Mr. Michel on 11-3-1977, and Mrs. Michel, at age 88, on 12-1-1993.

Lawrence T. Michel and Beatrix Michel lived on Lyndon Rd. by 1942.  He is believed to have been retired from the Syracuse fire department.  Mrs. Michel may have moved to Los Angeles, and died there in 1969.

Steven R. Mihalic and Lucy Stubbs Mihalic lived at 54 Lynacres Blvd. by 1960, and by 1967 were residing at 4 Thistlewood Lane.  Mr. Mihalic was born about 1925, and was a marketing executive for the General Electric Co.  The couple lives now in Phoenix, AZ.  Their children:  Stephanie Mihalic, Wendy Mihalic, and Michael Mihalic.

Stanley G. Millard and Doris Mildred Colby Millard lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by the early 1950's.  He was born 12-22-1905, and worked as a guard for the Crucible Steel Co.  Mr. Millard died in December, 1983.  Mrs. Millard was born in Batavia, NY, on 8-19-1909.  She worked for the Thermode Co., and died in Syracuse on 2-24-2005, at age 96.

Arthur S. Miller lived at 56 Ely Dr., from about 1953 to 1956.  He was the sales manager for the Syracuse China Co. for three years.  He resigned that position and moved to Chicago to become the marketing manager for a bedding firm.

Charles J. Miller and Anna Miller lived on Kittell Rd. by 1942.  Mr. Miller was an inspector and tool designer for the H. H. Franklin Co., and the Prosperity Co.  He retired in 1961.  The family moved to 3318 S. Salina St. and then to 218 Idlewood Blvd., Baldwinsville, where the couple was residing at his death on 10-17-1967.  Their children:  Doris Miller Van Wie, who married Wilson Van Wie, worked for the NYS Supreme Court Clerk's office, was a member of the Syracuse Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame, and lived in Baldwinsville at her death on 1-9-1996, and Anita Miller Mischler, (see entry below).

James H. Miller and Hazel Eldridge Miller lived at 104 Hobson Ave. by 1952.  They were also known by the surname Muller.  (See the Muller entry below.)

Theodore Winter "Ted" Miller and Patricia Ann Childs Miller lived at 20 Lynacres Blvd. by about 1950.  He worked for the Continental Can Co., and later owned Winter’s Men’s Store.  In 1957, the family moved to Whittier, CA.  Mrs. Miller was born in Rochester, NY, on 6-9-1918.  She spent her childhood years in Syracuse and graduated from the Fairmount School.  A few years following Mr. Miller's death in 1966, Mrs. Miller returned to the Syracuse area.  She subsequently married William R. McLeod, and was living in Fayetteville at her death on 4-22-2007.  Mr. and Mrs. Miller had:  Pamela Miller Williams, who was an attorney for NYS, and lived in Delmar, NY, Victoria "Tory" Miller Ricker, who is a stock broker living in Ft. Lauderdale, and Theodore Miller, Jr.

John David Milligan and Phyllis Milligan lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park in the early 1950's.  Mr. Milligan was born 6-13-1927, and was a printer for the Voss Litho Co.  He was residing in Naples, FL, at his death on 7-22-2005.  They had a son, Thomas Milligan, who was born about 1948, and lives in the Binghamton area.

George H. Miner and Beatrice Umsted Miner lived at 21 Lyndon Rd. by 1942.   He was an engineer for the Johns-Manville Co., and later headed his own construction firm.  A native of Montgomery County, PA,  Mrs. Miner was born 12-6-1902, and was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania's nursing school.  She moved to the Syracuse area in 1929, and became active in the family-owned construction business following Mr. Miner's death in 1960.  Mrs. Miner lived in Lyndon until her death on 9-8-1993, at age 90.  They had:  Dorothy Miner, who graduated from Syracuse University in 1950, wed Richard B. Downing, and lives on Thistlewood Lane in Knollwood.

William F. Minckler and Charlotte Clark Minckler lived at 103 Hobson Ave. by 1951.  The couple soon moved to 105 Butternut Dr. and then to 15 Wexford Rd.  Mr. Minckler was the head of the Clarmin Construction Co. and oversaw the building of over 300 homes in the Syracuse area.  He died at age 31 on 6-18-1952, as a result of an automobile accident three days earlier.   On 9-25-1954, Mrs. Minckler wed Kaj Schonemann, a native of Denmark who worked in NYC for Swiss Airlines. The couple divorced and Mrs. Minckler later married F. Allan Pardee, Jr., and, in 1960, moved to Cazenovia.  Mrs. Minckler-Pardee died at age 56 on 12-4-1979.  Mr. Pardee is also deceased.  Mr. and Mrs. Minckler had:  Charlotte Helen Minckler and Carol Corey Minckler.

Marshall E. Minich and Hildred Brohaugh Minich lived at 134 Edwards Dr., having moved there from Genesee Hills in DeWitt on 1-29-1951.  He was an accountant with the General Electric Co.  The family moved to Fresno, CA about 1960, and Mr. Minich became a professor at Fresno State University.  Mrs. Minich was an accomplished symphony violinist. Their children:  George M. Minich, who wed Irene Bullinger in June, 1969, earned a doctorate from the University of Wisconsin, and is now retired from the World Bank and residing in McLean, VA, Mary Minich, and John Minich.

Harold Mischler and Anita Miller Mischler moved from 203 Kittell Rd. in November, 1947.  He was born on 11-12-1898, and the couple wed in July, 1939.  They moved to Temple City, CA, where Mr. Mischler died in February, 1986. Mrs. Mischler was the daughter of Charles and Anna Miller and may still reside in Arcadia, CA, (see the Miller entry above).

Fred J. Mitchell and Maude Mitchell lived at 114 Dewey Ave. by 1953.   He was a serviceman for Sears, Roebuck & Co.

George E. Mitchell and Mary Mitchell lived at 108 Hobson Ave. by 1953.  He owned the Mitchell Printing Co.

John K. Mitchell and Claire Grossman Mitchell lived at 100 Edwards Dr. by 1953.  He was an engineering designer for the Niagara-Mohawk Power Corp.  Mrs. Mitchell was a life resident of the Syracuse area, and worked for 10 years as a secretary for the Pebble Hill Presbyterian Church.  She died on 10-7-1970.  Mr. Mitchell died on 12-21-1959.  Their children:  Carol E. Mitchell, Terry Mitchell, and Suzanne Mitchell Wicks, of North Syracuse.

William E. Montgomery and Elsie Nellis Montgomery lived at 201 Hobson Ave. by 1930.  He was born about 1877, and was a carpenter.  Mrs. Montgomery was born in St. Johnsville, NY, in 1874, and moved to the Lyndon area in the mid 1920's.  The couple wed in 1909.  Mr. Montgomery served on the board of trustees at the DeWitt Community Church.  He was a life resident of the DeWitt area, and died on 12-21-1959.  Mrs. Montgomery died 4-8-1964, at age 90.  By a previous marriage, Mr. Montgomery had two daughters:  Grace Montgomery, who wed Charles Newhart, and lived in Denver, and Ethel Montgomery, who wed Edward Laun, and lived in Baldwinsville. 

Mark E. Mooney and Virginia Mooney lived on Leverett Lane by 1942.  By 1947, Mr. Mooney and Helen D. Mooney lived at 125 Butternut Dr. in DeWitt.  (It is unclear if Virginia Mooney and Helen Mooney were the same person. )  Mr. Mooney was a graduate of Notre Dame University, and was the manager of the commercial refrigeration dept. at the Carrier Corp.  Both Mr. and Mrs. Mooney were avid golfers.  They lived their final years in Salinas, CA.  Mr. Mooney died on 6-30-1996, at age 91, and Helen Mooney died 12-17-1997, at age 94.

Alfred V. Moore and Anthnet Niedzielski Moore lived on Dewey Ave. Extension by 1954.  They lived previously in North Syracuse.  Mr. Moore was a salesman for the Reagan Realty Co., and, later, a contractor.  They had:  Richard Moore, Kathleen Moore, Mary Ann Moore, Melissa A. Moore, who wed James R. Moreth in 1987, and Bernard Moore.

James J. Moore and Mildred McCay Moore lived at 14 Ely Dr. by 1955.  He was the manager of the local office of the Indemnity Insurance Co. of North America,  They had a daughter, Joan Moore.

James S. Moore and Phyllis Church Moore lived at 228 Maple Dr. by 1960.  He was a manufacturer's agent.  Carrie Suydam Moore, the widow of Norris B. Moore, lived with the family.  James and Phyllis Moore had:  Alan Moore, Donald Moore, and Nancy Moore.

Miss Jean Moore lived on Marvelle Rd. by 1942.

Carl G. Moritz and Marian Ivison Moritz lived at 114 Kittell Rd. by 1960.  He was born 5-1-1908, and was a native of Cleveland.  Mr. 'Moritz resided most of his life in the Syracuse area and was the owner and operator of Ontario Motor Lines, and, later, the Motor Rail Transport Co.  He died 5-9-1985.  Mrs. Moritz was born 6-18-1906. She worked for the First Trust and Deposit Co, a local bank, where she was the head clerk, and for NY Telephone Co.  Mrs. Moritz died on 3-4-2003, at age 96.

Claude W. "Jack" Morris and Louise Hartman Morris lived at 58 Lyndon Rd. in 1952, having moved from 204 Sherwood Ave. in DeWitt.  He was a native and life resident of the Syracuse area, and retired in 1972 after 25 years as a salesman for the Onondaga Beverage Co.  Mrs. Morris was also a native of the area and was a buyer for the Addis Co. and Chappells department store before retiring about 1968.  She was the president of the Liederkranz Auxiliary.  Mr. Morris died 2-29-1988, and Mrs. Morris died 7-24-1993.

Lester Moshier and Isabell Jones Moshier lived on Hobson Ave. by 1953.  He was born 8-18-1915, and was a toolmaker at the Precision Castings Co.  Mr. Moshier died on 11-13-1992, while living in the Rochester area.

William P. Motsiff and Genevieve Brown Motsiff lived at 2 Cricket Lane by 1960.  He was born 4-23-1907, and was the district manager for the Cook Coffee Co.   A native of Geneva, Mrs. Motsiff was born on 7-4-1906, and moved to the Fayetteville area about 1954.  Mr. Motsiff died in January, 1977, and Mrs. Motsiff died 2-15-1994, at age 87.  Their daughter:  Bonnie Motsiff Morin, of Fayetteville.

Alfred Elmer Mounteney and Madeline Billings Mounteney lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by 1960.  He was born on 2-25-1918, and served in WWII.  She was a cafeteria worker and he was a truck driver.  Mr. Mounteney died 2-13-2002, while residing in Brooksville, FL.

Lela Boyington Moyer lived at 3 Little Fox Circle by 1960.  On 8-5-1909, she married Arthur Chester Moyer, from Herkimer.  When Mr. Moyer died on 3-22-1942, he was a retired agent for the Prudential Insurance Co., and they lived at 277 Ross Park Drive in Syracuse.  Mrs. Moyer was a kindergarten teacher at Lyncourt School and in the East Syracuse-Minoa district.  She was a native of Brewerton and a graduate of the Oswego Normal School.  Mrs. Moyer died on 7-19-1972.  They had:  Ruth Ione Moyer, who earned a master's in education from Syracuse University, married Barrington P. Gilmour in 1949, was a teacher for the Syracuse school district, lived in her mother's home in Lyndon, and died on 1-24-1998.

Charles Muhlenforth and Bessie Mae Organ Muhlenforth lived at 24 Ely Dr. by 1953.  Mr. Muhlenforth was a native of New York City, and lived in DeRuyter, NY, for seven years before moving to the Fayetteville area, where he operated a Sunoco gas station.   Mrs. Muhlenforth was a native of Marlow, OK, and lived in the Fayetteville area for 15 years prior to her death on 4-14-1953.  Mr. Muhlenforth subsequently wed Edith Harris Muhlenforth, who worked at the Merchants Bank in Fayetteville.  He died 9-29-1976.

Clifford G. Mulkins and Edith Townsend Mulkins lived at 101 Montgomery Rd. by 1953.  He was born in Oneonta, NY, and was a structural designer for the Niagara Mohawk Corp.  The couple married in Otego, NY, in July, 1938.  Mr. Mulkins died 4-18-1958, at age 51.  Mrs. Mulkins was born 1-5-1907, and was being cared for by her sister in Kingston, NY, at her death on 10-16-1994. 

Ethel Lee McKee Muller lived at 714 Maple Dr. by 1960.  Mrs. Muller was a native of Jamesville, and resided most of her life in the Fayetteville area.  She married Albert Carroll Muller, on 6-29-1921, in Jamesville.  The couple later divorced and Mr. Muller married twice more.  He died 6-15-1983.  Mrs. Muller worked in the cafeteria at Jamesville-DeWitt school, and died 7-25-1988, at age 92.  They had:  Carroll Albert Muller, who was born 1-21-1922, and died 2-13-1999, and James Wesley Muller, who was born 10-27-1926, and died in 1999.

James H. Muller and Hazel Aileen Eldridge Burnham Muller lived at 104 Hobson Ave by 1952.  Mrs. Muller was born about 1893, and was a native of Millbridge, ME.  She came to CNY about 1951, and died 4-26-1969, in Lyndon.  Mr. Muller worked at the Easy Washer Co., and, later, at the Colonial Motel. The Mullers apparently changed their name about 1953 and became known as the Miller family.  They had:  Dorothy Muller Kelley, who lived in Machias, ME, Randolph J. Muller (Miller) born about 1928, of Fayetteville, and James A. Burnham, Mrs. Muller's son from a previous marriage, who lived in East Lansing, MI. 
 
Alfred C. Mulligan and Alice Mulligan lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by 1960.  Mr. Mulligan was born on 8-25-1922, and worked as an industrial engineer for the NYC railroad.  He died 5-25-2006.

Arthur F. Mulvihill and Anna Frances Mahan Mulvihill lived at 49 Lynacres Blvd. by 1955. The couple later moved to 115 Fiordon Rd. in DeWitt.  Mr. Mulvihill was the president of the Empire Wallpaper Co.  He raised English and Irish Setters, and judged many dog shows across the Northeast.  Mr. Mulvihill died on 8-24-1986, at age 88.  Mrs. Mulvihill, a life resident of the Syracuse area, died on 11-11-1995, at age 98.  Their children:  John E. Mulvihill, who lived in Skaneateles, and Donald Joseph Mulvihill, who lived in Syracuse.

Donald F. Mulvihill and Jane Kennedy Mulvihill lived at 26 Lynacres Blvd. by 1955.  He was a 1933 graduate of Syracuse University and the president of Ryan and Kennedy, Inc., a general insurance firm.  Mrs. Mulvihill was the daughter of Thomas Kennedy, a former mayor of Syracuse.  She was a graduate of Syracuse University and taught high school in Albany before returning to the Syracuse area.  Mrs. Mulvihill's sister, Mary Kennedy O'Brien also lived on Lynacres, (see her listing below).  Mr. Mulvihill died on 9-23-1974, and Mrs. Mulvihill died on 11-15-1997.  Their children:  Dr. Thomas K. Mulvihill, who lived in Cazenovia and had a dental practice in Fayetteville at his death on 9-10-1979, Patricia Mulvihill, who attended Trinity College, and Donald Mulvihill.

Robert Drown Murphy and Reta Rose Vanderburgh Murphy lived on Burt Lane by 1960.  Dr. Murphy was born 10-19-1917, in Jericho, VT.  Dr. and Mrs. Murphy were wed in 1933.  While a student, Dr. Murphy also worked as a reporter, editor, and photographer for the Syracuse Post-Standard, and other newspapers. He earned three degrees, including his doctorate, from Syracuse University.  He then was a professor and newspaper department chairman in Syracuse's nationally renowned journalism school from 1949 to 1965.  In 1965, he became the founding director of the School of Communications at the University of Kentucky, in Lexington.  Dr. Murphy died 1-14-2007, at age 89.  They had:  Constance Anne Murphy White, who lives in Oakland, CA, was wed to her Jamesville-DeWitt classmate, Jan Eric Mattison, who died in November, 1995, Richard V. Murphy, who lives in Lexington, and Gordon C.  Murphy, of Eau Claire, WI.

Cleve C. Nash, Jr., and Ellis Nash lived on Maple Dr. by 1955.  He was an electrical engineer with the General Electric Co.  In 1957 Mr. Nash took a job with the Stewart-Warner Corp., and the family moved to suburban Chicago.  Their children:  Frances "Genie" Nash Doyle who was born about 1939, attended Wells College, is the president of a temporary employment firm, and lives in Alamo, CA, Cleve Nash, III, born about 1942, and Ellis Betty Nash.

James B. "Al" Negus and Nina Vaughn Negus lived at 25 Lyndon Rd. by 1953.  Mr. Negus was born on 8-7-1895.  He worked as a manufacturer's agent.  Mrs. Negus was born 9-22-1896, and died in November, 1976.  Mr. Negus was living in Utica at his death on 9-4-1981.  Sarah F. Vaughn, the mother of Mrs. Negus, lived with the couple.  They had:  Jeanne Negus Mellone, who was born about 1923, married Ralph P. Mellone, and lives in Hobe Sound, FL.

Alice Neider, known to most as "Aunt Alice," lived in a small apartment adjacent to the laundry and mail room at the Lyndon Trailer Park.  She is believed to have been the widowed aunt of John Neider, the owner of the Park (see below).

John G. Neider and Hazel Belding Neider lived on Highbridge Rd. and were the owners and operators of the Lyndon Trailer Park until the late 1950's.  Mr. Neider was a native of Syracuse.  He was the welfare officer for the Town of DeWitt and later was in the maintenance department of the Onondaga County courthouse.  Born in Fayetteville, Mrs. Neider lived all her life in the Syracuse area.  She worked 25 years with the E.W Edwards Co. before retiring in 1956.  Following retirement the Neiders moved to 338 Hillview Ave., in Syracuse, and to Annandale, VA, about 1960.  Mr. Neider died 3-25-1985, and Mrs. Neider died 8-20-1985.  Both were 93 at their deaths and had been married 75 years.  Their daughter, Jessica Neider married William Ross, (see the Ross entry below).

Carroll A. Nelson and Vernan Clapp Nelson lived at 42 Lyndon Rd. before moving in 1942 to 102 Downing Rd. in DeWitt.  He was a retired general contractor.

Edgar M. Neptune and Martha Mouser Neptune lived at 17 Lynacres Blvd. by 1960.  He was a 1922 honor graduate of Harvard University and completed medical school there four years later.  He was in practice in Syracuse as a physician and surgeon for 41 years before his death on 12-21-1968.  His office was at 726 W. Onondaga St.  They had:  Virginia M. Neptune, who lived in Fayetteville, Mary Neptune Parker, who lived in North Syracuse, and Capt. Edgar M. Neptune, a physician in the USN.

Donald F. Neubauer and Grace Ferris Neubauer lived at 29 Lynacres Blvd. by 1960.  He was an executive with the Brown-Lipe-Chapin Co.  The family moved in 1968, after Mr. Neubauer was promoted to plant manager at the General Motors facility in Ewing, NJ.  They had:  Dorne Neubauer, Debra Neubauer, and Dena Neubauer.

Otto A. Neuser and Clara Reals Neuser lived at 703 Maple Dr. by about 1940.  He was with the Bentley- Settle Co., a wholesale grocery firm, but about 1945 began working as an inspector at the Precision Castings Co.  Mr. Neuser died 2-26-1960.  Mrs. Neuser, was living at 728 Maple Dr. at her death, 8-26-1963.

George Peter Newton and Grace Labuz Newton lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by 1951.  Mr. Newton was an engineer with the Sargent, Webster, Crenshaw, and Folley architectural firm.  The couple moved to Fayetteville about 1955.  Mrs. Newton, a native of Utica, died 11-20-1972.  They had:  Rebecca Ann Newton, who lived in Oakland, CA, George Newton, Jr., who was born in October, 1951, and wed Laurie Elizabeth Crossman about 1978, and Andrew P. Newton.

Frederick C. Nichols and Jeanne Dunaway Nichols lived at 18 Lynacres Blvd.  Mr. Nichols was a native of Ogdensburg, NY, and graduated from Oberlin College.  He served as a bomber pilot in World War II with the rank of lieutenant colonel.  He was the president of F. C. Nichols, Inc., and later was a vice president at the Merchants National Bank.  He was very active in the American Legion and other civic causes.  Mr. Nichols was born 1-23-1917, and died on 2-9-2002.  Their children:  John Nichols and Carol Nichols.

Victor F. Nicholson and Kathryn Irene Shetler Nicholson lived at 201 Maple Dr. by 1953.  He was a partner in Pendol Sales, Inc., and died in 1984.  They wed about 1948.  Mrs. Nicholson was born 1-19-1919, in Buffalo and was a graduate of Bryant & Stratton school in that city.  She worked as a secretary for Agway in DeWitt, and died on 9-17-1998.

Herbert W. Nickerson and Barbara Nickerson lived on Kittell Rd. by 1942.  He was a salesman for the Fellons Gear Shaper Co. of Springfield, VT.  They had a daughter.

Harold George Nixon and Lois Nixon lived at 215 Hobson Ave. by 1953.  He was born on 9-14-1928, and worked as a quality control engineer for the Carrier Corp.  They lived in Hammondsport, NY, at his death on 2-1-2007.  They had:  Onalee Nixon Barton, Harold G. Nixon, Jr., Jacquelyn Nixon,  Patricia Nixon Werner, Cindy Nixon O'Neil, Debbie Nixon Babinicz, and Laurie Nixon Guild.

Milner Noble  and Margaret Elliott Noble lived at 5 Lynacres Blvd. by 1960.  He was born on 9-27-1902, in Richmond, VA.  Mr. Noble was an engineer and became the president of the Aerofin Corp.  Mr. and Mrs. Noble later moved to Lynchburg, VA, where he died on 3-11-1982.  They had:  Milner "Mike" Noble, who lives in Essex Center, VT, and is a hospital public relations executive.

Walter John "Jack" Nodine and Cecelia Yodakis Nodine lived at 30 Ely Dr. by 1960.  Mrs. Nodine was a native of Yonkers, NY.  Mr. Nodine was born in 1919, and was a native of Linden, NJ, and a veteran of WWII.  He was a sales representative for the California Oil Corp., and the Sinclair Oil Co. The couple had moved to Lymekiln Rd. in Lyndon at the time of Mrs. Nodine's death on 10-27-1978. Mr. Nodine later married Mary Beth Nodine.  At some point Mr. Nodine moved to Greensboro, NC, where, it is believed the second Mrs. Nodine died in 1991, and he died on 3-28-2001.  Walter and Cecilia Nodine had:  Nancy Nodine Sudol, of Williston, VT, and Douglas Nodine, who lives in Greensboro.

Dennis E. Nolan and Jeannine LeRoy Nolan lived at 122 Dewey Ave. by 1960.  She was a teacher at Moses-DeWitt school in DeWitt.  He was a design draftsman for the Carrier Corp.  They had:  Angela Nolan.

Dana W. Norris and Lucile Norris lived on Marvelle Rd. by 1942, having lived earlier in Syracuse.  Mr. Norris was born about 1901 in IA, and was an executive with the C. C. Bradley and Son manufacturing concern.  Mr. Norris' father, D. W. Norris was the president of the Lennox Furnace Co.  Mrs. Norris was also a native of IA, and was born about 1903.  The couple married about 1925, and moved to Fort Lauderdale by the late 1940's.  Their children:  Margaret Ann Norris, who was born 3-15-1926, wed Donald Robert Consler on 2-12-1949, and lived in Pittsford, NY, at her death on 1-23-1998, Barbara Norris, who was born about 1929, Nancy Norris, Dana William Norris, who was born on 7-31-1931, and died  7-23-1998, in FL, and another son.

Charles A. North and Rose Reals North lived at 219 Maple Dr. by 1930.  He was born about 1878, and was a die caster for the Precision Castings Co.  He also had worked as a truck driver.  Mr. North died 7-2-1935. Mrs. North was born 8-5-1884, and the couple wed in 1903.  She was a life long resident of the Lyndon area, and died there on 5-9-1971.  Her brother, Fred Reals, lived nearby, (see the Reals listing below).

Frederick Bruce Northrup, Jr., and Virginia Hamel Northrup lived on Maple Dr. by 1955, and were residing on South Gate Rd., near the Onondaga Country Club by 1967.  Mr. Northrup was born 5-31-1919, and was a sales agent for the Mutual Benefit Life Ins. Co., and later for the Berkshire Life Ins. Co.  The couple subsequently moved to FL, where Mrs. Northrup died 6-25-1993, and Mr. Northrup died 1-1-2003.  They had:  Candace Northrup, F. Bruce Northrup, III, John H. Northrup, who earned an MBA/MS from Northeastern University, was active in Libertarian politics, and is a portfolio manager for an energy related mutual fund, and Douglas S. Northrup.

Carroll M. Norton and Ethel Yates Norton lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by 1960.  Mr. Norton was born on 3-24-1895, and Mrs. Norton was born 4-2-1897.  They were married about 1917.  He was a farmer while living earlier in Otsego County, but  worked for the General Electric Co. while living in Lyndon.  Mr. Norton died in February, 1976, and Mrs. Norton died in December, 1978.  They had:  Jeanne E. Norton, born about 1921, Lois H. Norton, born about 1923, Wilma Y. Norton, born in 1926, and Rubena H. Norton, born in 1928.

George E. Novas and Caroline Novas lived at 105 Maple Dr., having moved there in May, 1952.  He was born 4-1-1907, in Poland.  Mrs. Novas was born 5-21-1914.  Mr. Novas retired in 1972 after 30 years as the owner of Square Electric Motor Repair Co.  Mr. and Mrs. Novas lived several years in Syracuse before moving to Florida in 1972.  Mr. Novas died 2-9-1989, in Syracuse, and Mrs. Novas died in FL in January, 1990.  She had a daughter by a previous marriage:  Mary Jane Novas Smith, of Altamonte Springs, FL.

Donald G. Nowak and Aileen Burlingham Nowak lived at 5155 Leverett Lane, having moved there from 214 Ambergate Rd., in Dewittshire, in 1959.  He was a partner in the Chapman-Nowak advertising firm, and later became the president of the Nowak, Barlow, and Johnson advertising and public relations company.  They had:  Truman "Timmy" Nowak, of DeWitt, and Donna Nowak Hughes, of Albany.

Daniel B. O'Brien and Veronica Shine O'Brien lived at 33 Lyndon Rd. by 1953.  Mr. O'Brien was a 1904 graduate of Purdue University where he was a star football player.  In 1903, the year before Mr. O'Brien's graduation, the Purdue football team was involved in a train wreck in Indianapolis, and 18 players were killed.  Mr. O'Brien became the final survivor of the team.  He was a civil engineer and joined his father's company, the O'Brien Construction Co. in 1908.  He took over from his father 10 years later and became president of the firm--a position he held for over 40 years.  Among the buildings constructed by the O'Brien firm were the University Hospital, Eastwood High School, and the Bellevue Country Club.  Mrs. O'Brien was a native of Lockport, NY, and came to the Syracuse area about 1912.  Mr. O'Brien died on 6-22-1964, and Mrs. O'Brien died on 5-11-1967.  They had three sons:  Rev. Monsignor Daniel B. O'Brien, a Catholic priest who was a chaplain during WWII, and served as the senior pastor at Holy Cross Church in DeWitt, Thomas P. O'Brien, who lived in Cazenovia, and James J. O'Brien, of Lynacres, (see below).  Thomas and James O'Brien took over the running of the family business in 1959.

James J. O'Brien and Mary Kennedy O'Brien lived at 28 Lynacres Blvd. by 1953, and later moved to 125 Fiordon Rd. in DeWitt.  Mr. O'Brien served in the 95th Infantry Division of the USA during World War II and received a Purple Heart.  He worked for the family owned O'Brien Construction Co., (see the above listing), and retired from Key Bank.  Mrs. O'Brien's father, Thomas E. Kennedy, was a former Syracuse mayor.  Her sister, Jane Kennedy Mulvihill also lived on Lynacres, (see listing above).  Mr. O'Brien died on 11-2-1985, and Mrs. O'Brien still resides in DeWitt.  They had:  Jane Cashill O'Brien, who lived in Oakland, CA, Mary Kate O'Brien, of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Anne O'Brien, and Daniel J. O'Brien, who lived in Fayetteville.

William George O'Brien and Alice Richardson O'Brien lived at 45 Ely Dr. by 1955.  Mr. O'Brien was a life long resident of the Syracuse area and a 1938 graduate of Syracuse University's law school.  He worked for 30 years as the local claims manager and counsel to the Royal Globe Insurance Co.  In 1966, Mr. O'Brien opened an office in Fayetteville for a private law practice.  Mrs. O'Brien's father, Junius E. Richardson lived with the O'Brien family before his death on 10-6-1963.  Mrs. O'Brien died in 1982, and Mr. O'Brien later wed Dorothy VanDyke O'Brien.  Mr. O'Brien died 5-7-1984.  William and Alice O'Brien had:  Sharon O'Brien Allen, who earned degrees in law and library science, and lives now in Locust Grove, VA, William E. O'Brien, who lives in Fayetteville, and Terry R. O'Brien, who was a court official living in Syracuse at his death on 3-19-1991.

Gerald H. Odell and Frances Warner Odell lived on Leverett Lane by 1942.  He was a purchasing agent for the Marsellus Casket Co. and later served as a senior vice president of the firm.  Mrs. Odell was a lifelong resident of CNY, and graduated from Syracuse University in 1924.  She died 2-1-1969.  They had Gerald "Gary" Odell, Jr., who lived in West Acton, MA.

Harold T. Oeder and Sara "Sally" Harpending Oeder lived on Montgomery Rd. by 1953, having lived earlier at 107 Jamesville Rd. in DeWitt.  Mr. Oeder was born 2-22-1907, and was a self-employed home repairman.  The couple later moved to 5150 Jamesville Rd.  Mr. Oeder died in November, 1970, and Mrs. Oeder, who was born 7-28-1919, died in July, 1974.  They had:  Chip Oeder, and Sara Oeder.

Manya Ogreshock lived in Knollwood by 1942,  She was born in PA, about 1900, and was a live-in maid for the John Brockway family.  She worked earlier for a family in Rockland County.  Mrs. Ogreshock was married about 1923, but it is not known if she became widowed or divorced.  Her maiden name was probably Manya Duscavage.  She had:  Stanley Ogreshock, who was born in 1926.

Henry F. Olszewski and Ruth Thompson Olszewski lived at 323 Edwards Dr. by 1955.  He was a native of CNY, and was born in 1915.  He worked as a salesman for the Syracuse Liquor Co., and later was with the Kemp Electronics Co.  At some point, prior to 1967, the family changed its name to Olsen.  The couple had two daughters, Barbara Olsen, and Pamela Olsen.

Edward A. O'Malley and Evah Williams O'Malley lived on Genesee St. by 1930.  Mr. O'Malley was born about 1889, and Mrs. O'Malley was three years younger.  They were married about 1917.  Mr. O'Malley was the comptroller of the Farmers and Traders Insurance Co.  Mr. O'Malley predeceased Mrs. O'Malley, who died in St. Petersburg, FL, on 10-15-1966.

George F. O'Neill and Elizabeth St. Amour O'Neill lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by 1960.  He was the branch manager for the Stromberg division of the General Time Corp.  Mrs. O'Neill was a bookkeeper.  The couple had:  Rickie O'Neill and Randy O'Neill.

James Orlando and Felippa "Phyllis" Falso Orlando lived at 60 Ely Dr., following their marriage on 6-28-1951.  He was the vice-president and manager of Thor Metal Products, Inc.  Their children:  Donna Lee Orlando, Kathy Orlando, and David Orlando.

Clyde S. Ott and Jesse A. Ott lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by the late 1940's, having lived earlier in Fultonville, NY.  Mr. Ott was born 5-19-1899, and Mrs. Ott was born about 1904.  He was a salesman for Sears, Roebuck & Co.  The couple were among the first in the Park to purchase a television set, and many youngsters in the Park saw their first television show in their home.  The Otts suffered a major fire in the early 1950's and their trailer was a total loss.  The couple subsequently retired to FL, where Mr. Ott died on 3-9-1995, at age 95.  Their children:  Clyde E. Ott, who was born about 1921, and Betty J. Ott, who was born about 1923.

James P. Owens and Ernestine Harris Owens lived at 56 Ely Dr., having purchased the home in 1957 when they moved from Birmingham, MI.  They later moved to Bradford Pkwy. in Syracuse after selling the home on Ely Dr. in September, 1963.  Mr. Owens was the regional office manager for the Sun Oil Co.

George Edward Paetow and Clare Gurzny Paetow lived at 201 Dewey Ave. by 1930.  Mr. Paetow was born 1-6-1892.  He was a salesman for the Pennsylvania Refining Co. and later worked at the Wide Waters Supply Co.  Mr. Paetow was a pilot in the National Guard  and died in Baldwinsville on 4-27-1970. Mrs. Paetow was born 7-16-1893, and the couple wed in 1917.  She died in Ft. Lauderdale, in April, 1982.  They had:  George Paetow, Jr., who was born in 1925, was a pilot during WWII, married Carol Paetow, worked for the International Plastics Co., and lived in the family home in Lyndon, and Avon Paetow Cross, who was born about 1919, worked as a nurse, and married Burton Cross of Baldwinsville.

James R. Paisley and June Walker Paisley lived in the Lyndon Trailer Park by the early 1950's, and by 1953, were living at 100 Church Parkway, in North Syracuse.   Mr. Paisley sold x-ray equipment.  They had a daughter who was born on 11-3-1953.

J. Ross Paltz and Nathalie Kyser Paltz lived at 43 Lynacres Blvd. by 1960.  He was born 11-17-1905, and was a graduate of Syracuse University and its College of Law where he received his degree in 1928.  He was a member of the law firm of Nottingham, Paltz, Cerio, and Kneel, located at One Lincoln Center, in Syracuse.  He was with the firm from his graduation to his death.  Mrs. Paltz was a 1932 graduate of Syracuse University.  She was a life resident of the Syracuse area, and was a secretary for several years at Syracuse University and Wells College.  Mr. Paltz died  5-15-1979, and Mrs. Platz died 12-22-1989.

Walter Page lived at 221 Maple Dr. by 1953.  Mr. Page was born in Switzerland on 12-6-1880.  He was a descendant of what were called, "the original five families."  This was a reference to the five families originally imported from Switzerland to the Fulton area many years ago to begin the production of Nestle chocolate products.  He worked as a milk consultant, and lived in Cazenovia.  Mr. Page died in January, 1971.

Floyd R. Parker and Edina "Teddy" Dann Parker lived at 80 Marvelle Rd. by the late 1940's.  Dr. Parker was born in Hartford, CT, on 2-19-1903.  He graduated from Syracuse University in 1924, and from its medical school in 1928.  He was a lieutenant colonel in the Army, and served in the hospital corps in England during WWII.  Dr. Parker earned a Bronze Star for his work.  He was on the staff of St. Joseph's Hospital for 36 years and was the chief of surgery there.  Dr. Parker died 12-2-1975.  Mrs. Parker was born on 12-13-1912, in Syracuse.  She was a graduate of  Webber College, and was active in civic and educational causes.  She died, at age 94, on 1-24-2007.  Their children:  Frances Parker James, who is the widow of William James, works as physical therapist, and lives in the Dallas area, and Cathy Parker Patel, who wed Raymond Patel, and lives in Orland Park, IL.

George H. Parkhurst and Clara Green Parkhurst lived at 209 Maple Dr. by 1953, having lived earlier in Syracuse.  Mr. Parkhurst was born 3-10-1887, and was a life insurance salesman.  He was very active in Masonic affairs.  Mrs. Parkhurst was born 1-25-1890, and the couple wed about 1910.  The Parkhursts were living in the Fulton area at the time of his death in March, 1970, and her death in September, 1976.  They had a daughter, Frances Parkhurst, who was born about 1912.

William L. Parry and June Howarth Parry lived on Short Rd. by 1960.  Dr. Parry was born about 1924, and was a physician.  In 1964, Dr. Parry became the first full-time professor and chairman of the urology department at the University of Oklahoma.  The couple lives now in Oklahoma City, OK.  Their children:  Barbara Parry, Marge Parry, and Richard Parry.

John M. Parslow and Flora Goodfellow Parslow lived at 104 Dewey Ave. by 1930.  Mr. Parslow was widely known in sport circles and was the manager of the Jefferson Bowling Academy.  He died on 8-23-1952, at age 67.  Mrs. Parslow was born 2-7-1887, and died in March, 1983, in Jamesville.  Mr. Parslow's sister, Miss Marion Amy Parslow, lived with the couple.  She was a school tax collector.  Miss Parslow, was a native of New Woodstock, and moved  to the Lyndon area as a young girl.  For many years she aided her father, Joseph T. Parslow, in collecting tolls at a gate which stood near the site of the former John Milton Motel in Lyndon.  After the toll gate was abolished, the house was moved to its present site on Dewey Avenue.  Joseph Parslow died 7-20-1913.  Miss Parslow lived in the family home until her death, at age 87, on 2-10-1962.  John and Flora Parslow had:  Robert J. Parslow, who was born about 1908, married Margera Parslow, was a sales engineer for the Brace-Mueller-Huntley Co., and lived in Manlius, and Eileen Parslow Sehnert, who was born in 1919, and lived nearby, (see the Sehnert entry below).

Charles Curtis Paul and Hannah Josephine Reals Paul lived at 221 Hobson Ave. by 1942.  Mr. Paul was born on 12-26-1913.  He worked for the McMillan Book Co. and was a foreman for the Reals Construction Co., which was owned by his father-in-law, Fred J. Reals.  Mrs Paul was born on 6-6-1917, and the couple married on 6-25-1937.  Mrs. Paul was a life resident of the Fayetteville area, and played spoons for the Eddie Fagan All American Banjo Band.  She retired in 1976 from Jamesville-DeWitt Schools as a bus driver.  Mr. Paul died on 2-7-81, in Clermont, FL, and Mrs. Paul died in Lyndon on 10-1-1994.  They had:  James F. Paul, who married Mary Jane Paul, worked as a blacksmith and welder at the Carrier Corp., and lived at 218 Hobson Ave., George L. Paul, of Clay, NY, and Nancy I. Paul, of Lyndon.

John A. Pauldine and Verna Platt Pauldine lived at 12 Lyndon Rd. by 1960.  He was the district manager for the Encyclopedia Brittanica.  Both graduated from Syracuse University.  Mr. Pauldine lives in Las Vegas and Mrs. Pauldine resides now in Canoga Park, CA.  Their children:  Michael Pauldine, Stephen Pauldine, and  Mark Pauldine.

Carroll D. Paulson and Lillian Mooney Paulson lived at 209 Kittell by 1946.  He was born on 7-2-1899, and was a native of Kalamazoo, MI.  He was a sales representative for the Master-Kraft Co., and, at his retirement in 1963, for the Shaw-Walker Co.  The couple moved in 1935 from Bellevue Ave. in Syracuse to Haddonfield Dr. in DeWitt, and by 1955 they were living on Meadowbrook Dr. in Syracuse.  In 1964 they moved to FL, where Mr. Paulson died on 6-15-1964.  Mrs. Paulson, who was a native of Auburn, returned to CNY, where she died on 11-4-1982. 

Clifford J. Payne and Esther Letitia Lawes Payne lived on Marvelle Rd. by 1950, having lived before at 301 Ambergate Rd.  By 1955, the family moved from Marvelle Rd. to 26 Pebble Hill Rd., North, in DeWitt.  Mr. Payne was from Rochester and was the district manager for the General Baking Co.  Mrs. Payne was born in Toronto and graduated from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester.  She was an antique collector and dealer.  Mrs. Payne died 11-8-1959, and Mr. Payne died 3-3-1977.  Their children:  James L. Payne of DeWitt,  Leslie L. Payne of Fayetteville, Robert W. Payne of Rockville, MD, and Thomas C. Payne, of DeWitt.

William G. Peacher and Sarah Moore Peacher lived at 54 Ely Dr. by 1955.  Born in New Brunswick, ME, Mr. Peacher moved to Syracuse in 1918, graduated from Syracuse University in 1935, and the College of Chinese Acupuncture in 1973.  He received two master's degrees, a medical degree and a doctorate from SU.  He practiced neurosurgery in Syracuse from 1946 to 1978, and in Riverside, CA, from 1978 until retiring in 1998.  Mrs. Peacher was  born in Ayden, NC, and was a graduate of Kings Daughters School of Nursing in Virginia.  In the 1970's, the couple divorced and Dr. Peacher later remarried.  Sarah Peacher  moved to her native North Carolina where she died in Greenville, at age 80, on 7-14-2001.  She lived in the Fayetteville area from 1945 to 1983.  Like Dr. Peacher, she was a veteran of Army servic
